Hair gets caught in the little screws on either side. You'll burn your fingers and God knows what else since impossible to securely grab the tip of the iron to help with curling.
So disappointing since Conair's curling irons used to be decent.

Not my favorite Conair Curling tool
The heating control is a turn dial rather than a push button, Which makes it extremely difficult to keep it at one heating setting while curling your hair. The turn dial is very sensitive, does not stay in place and turns off or to a really high heat setting which burns your hair.
