Dries hair fast
I've been using the same hair dryer for twenty years, so it was definitely time for a new one. The Conair Curl Collective Dryer is much better than my old one. The low setting on the new one was more powerful than the high setting on my old one, probably because the old one was plugged up with fuzz.
The cap on the back of this dryer comes off very easily for cleaning, though I'm not 100% convinced I'll be able to get the fuzz out even with the cap off. Ask me again in 20 years!
I was excited to try the ion feature with this dryer, because I don't know what that is but I've seen it on a lot of dryers. Unfortunately, it's not for me. Any product that says it will make my hair shiny in fact makes it greasy, so I shouldn't be surprised that's what happened here. The great part is that I can just leave the ion button off.
How it dries:
- On the warm low setting, I can get my hair dry in 20 minutes with no flyaways.
- On the warm high setting, I can get my hair dry in 10 minutes with some flyaways.
- On the warm high setting using the Curl Collective Diffuser, I can get my hair dry in just 4 minutes with no flyaways!
I have naturally wavy hair, not curly, so I may not be the target user for this product, but I'm extremely happy with it. It doesn't make my waves any more or less wavy, but using the diffuser, I've shortened my morning routine significantly. I highly recommend it.

This Hairdryer Checks All The Boxes!
Conair's The Curl Collective 1875 Watt Ionic Ceramic Dryer is the whole package in terms of hairdryers. This dryer is most impressive for the quality, innovative technology, and performance all wrapped up in a very nice value package! In my opinion, as hairdryers go, it doesn't get any better than that. This dryer packs 1875 watts into one very powerful blow drying machine. It's equipped with six temperature and speed controls that allow you to get the best specialized experience possible. In addition, it also has a 'cool shot' function to seal the deal, so to speak, or you may just prefer to blow dry your hair with cooler air. I also love that this dryer provides two attachments that give you the capability to try different styles. One that aids in volume and another for smoother, sleek styling. Because this dryer was manufactured with ionic technology, it gives you smoother strands that yield beautiful shine! You can also get plenty of volume with this dryer, as well, simply by turning off the ion feature. This dryer is targeted to give people with curls, waves, and coily strands the best outcome by using ionic technology. In addition, the ceramic makeup of this dryer greatly decreases heat damage. When you factor in ions that give you more defined, yet soft & smooth, curls or waves along with much less hot air impact, you're left with beautiful locks! Either way, you're sure to love the results you get from this lightweight, yet mighty hairdryer that also happens to look super stylish with its unique, allover design!

High Quality and Stylish!
Ever since I was a kid, my hair has been caught up in an ongoing identity crisis. Is it straight? Wavy? Curly? Its natural state is a look I can only describe as "shapes." It sticks out here and goes flat there. Waves, corkscrews, bits that are as flat as straw -- It does it all at the same time, which is why I've been blowing it out and straightening it for years. When I had the chance to try Conair's The Curl Collective Dryer 1875 Watt Ionic Ceramic Dryer, I was intrigued -- could this dryer actually achieve what other dryers never could? Could I find a way to let my natural waves do their thing without looking like a tumbleweed?
The answer is... Well, I'm still determining. Anyone with waves or curls knows that these things take time and experimentation to tame, along with the right products. However, this is a solid dryer, and with some practice, I think I might actually have found a winner for my fussy hair. The dryer is easy to hold -- not too large or heavy or unwieldy. While it's dryer-loud, it doesn't hit that unpleasant shrieking jet-engine decibel that I've noticed from other dryers. The high heat setting is hot enough to do the job without feeling like I'm frying my hair. The dryer comes with several useful attachments, and while this part doesn't affect its performance, I really like its understated, stylish design. When used with The Curl Collective Curly Hair Diffuser attachment (sold separately) this dryer diffuses the right amount of heat evenly and efficiently. I've definitely got some waves going after using this baby, and I'm going to keep experimenting until I find the perfect styling technique for my hair.
A solid dryer at an affordable price point. Definitely one to consider if you've got waves or curls.
