Decent kits better once zero gapped
Works great for a basic at home cut this kit. You can get pretty good hair cuts with this kit. I got this my later 2 years of college to try. I already own the conair chrome kit i got in high school. I got decent hair cuts out of this out of the box but once gapped i got nice nice result. All my haircuts went smoother and nicer in feel, look and quality. I went form decent to very nice haircuts with experience and skill. I still have them to this day and I planning on pasting the on the my kids to learn self grooming on. Only given this 4 stars because there are better kits out today with bundles.

Immediate failure
This clipper broke after 2 uses. On further examination the spring that ran the internal mechanism broke and became detached. What’s worse is that I contacted the company who told me I would hear from the warehouse about replacement. That was 3 weeks ago

Terrible experience - please don't sell it!
My daughter bought this kit model HC248R for my husband and we just had the worst experience ever. The thing is not moving and bites the hair, Don't you test the machine before it leaves the factory? It's not working!!! Will never try this brand ever.

Stopped working!
Purchased many Conair products over the years, thought this would also be a good buy.
I as very disappointed, after a few uses, the hair cutter became noisy and it didn’t cut hair, on ANY setting with any attachment!

wish guard prevented more hair from falling into behind trapped in motor that will cause long term damage and insanitary.

Easy Use
The Custom Cut 18 piece Haircut Kit is wonderful. There are plenty of attachments to make different cut lengths. I especially like the comb that was included as I don't always have a comb nearby. Thank you Conair for making such a good product. I gave my husband a haircut and he used it to get rid of his winter beard and mustache.
