It is hard to make beach waves with this because the barrels are so small. The waves come out looking more like waves you get from braiding your hair.

I first saw this hair waver several years ago, while I was browsing the hair aisle at a store. I added it to my wishlist of items to try out later, when I had more funds to spend on that and other hair accessories. Well, over the years I had forgotten that I had wanted to try this product out. When I was invited to review this product, I was reminded why I was so drawn to the hair waver in the first place. With some time and effort from using this product, I'd be able to get those beautiful waves in my hair.
To achieve a similar hairstyle in the past, I've French braided my hair, let it stay that way for about 24 hours, and then unbraid it and gently comb out the waves. The downside to that method is that the waves are at a bit of an angle and it doesn't get the hair near my scalp very wavy, either.
When I first turned on the power to the triple barrel waver, I felt astonished that it heated up to where it needed to be in about 10 seconds. The flat irons and curling irons I've used take at least 5-10 minutes to heat up completely. It was so nice to not have to stand around and wait for it to heat up. I could get straight to my hair styling.
Since it was my first time using this product, there was a learning curve for me. It took me about 50 minutes to get all my hair wavy. While I was working on my hair, I had time to reflect on how I can speed up the process for the next time I use it.
By using this hair waver, it has cut down the time a ton that it used to take me to achieve that similar result with the French braids—and my waves look a lot more even and beautiful this way!
