Waste of money.
I bought this product today because I loaned the best straightener I ever had to my sister and it never got returned to me (go figure). I grabbed this product for almost 40 dollars at a local store and it seemed promising. Everything seemed to work alright I suppose. BUT unless you are squeezing the handles together with all your might, the plates do NOT touch together. All throughout the straightening process, I could feel my hair being pulled out by this product. It was a major let down and definitely will be returning this as soon as I finish writing this. Waste of money and will not buy another Conair product again.

skeptical at first but this is a great product
I bought this for around 40.00 at a local store and it died the first week I had it hence the skeptical I lost the receipt but I contacted Conair and they were amazing I told them what happened and they told me they would replace it and about a week and half later I received my replacement! Great customer service and this product tames my curly hair like no other product has that I’ve tried.

There’s a decent sized gap between the plates so they won’t even touch your hair, and I have extremely thick hair so that’s how big the gap was. Don’t buy. They also make it so hard to return anything. The 37 dollar Remington one I have is 10x better.
